Both scanners focus on wireless workflows and accessible 3D scanning, with slightly different positioning and pricing.

https://3dwithus.com/shining3d-einstar-new-3d-scanners

We’re opening this thread to hear real-world experiences from the community. If you’re using Rockit or EINSTAR 2, feel free to share what you’re scanning, how it performs for you, or any tips worth passing on. If you’re still deciding, questions are welcome too.

Looking forward to your input and discussions.

Robotic 3D scanning for automation – anyone tried this?

Hi all,

I’ve been looking into automated 3D scanning with robots for repetitive scanning tasks. Manual scanning works, but consistency can be an issue when doing the same part again and again.

Recently I came across a robotic scanning setup called MetroHub, which combines a 3D scanner with a robotic arm.

I’m curious if anyone here has experience with robot-assisted 3D scanning or similar systems.
Is it mainly about consistency, or does it really improve overall efficiency in real use?

Just trying to understand whether robotic scanning is practical outside large factories.
Would love to hear your thoughts.

Has anyone tried 3D scanning and then printing an object? I’m a beginner at modeling, and learning modeling has really been such a headache for me.

As the title says, I’ve been wanting to try 3D printing a part recently. Its edge is damaged, but the seller says I have to replace the whole thing, which feels like such a waste. If there are any online tutorials available, please share them with me for reference. Thanks, everyone.

Update：I finally decided to purchase the same type of material, haha, but I still welcome any related learning resources if you’d like to share them.
