Student-Engineered Boat with 3D Printed Parts
We just published a deep-dive article covering our visit to the CU Riviera Racing team at Cambridge University. A selection of 3D printed components used in the student-built boat, including structural clamps, steering elements, throttle casing, and a custom housing for the dashboard screen. This student team is building a zero-emissions boat and actively prototyping functional parts using Snapmaker 3D printers and digital tools. From steering brackets to dashboard casings — it’s amazing to see 3D printing used in real-world testing on water 🚤 📄 Read the full article here: https://3dwithus.com/cambridge-university-riviera-racing-prototyping-testing-goals Have you worked on or seen similar student or marine projects involving 3D printing? Anycubic Kobra S1 Combo - First Prints & Setup Showcase
Hello everyone. I have a problem with the Anycubic Cobra S1 combo. While I was accidentally removing the front cover on this printer, I cut the wires that are used for the fan that cools the model, and since then that fan hasn't been working when I reconnect it to its place. I tested the fan itself, and it works without any problems, but when I reconnect it to its place, it won't start at all when I begin printing. I'm wondering if anyone understands whether a short circuit might have caused some damage to the board behind the hotend where the fan connects, or if the problem is something else?

Creality Hi Combo Print Examples, Settings, Tips
Hi Freeman, thanks for sharing your experience, and sorry to hear about the trouble! It sounds like there may be an issue with bed calibration or a possible firmware mismatch with CrealityPrint 6. By the way, CrealityPrint had a recent update to v6.1.1.2274 I would try the following: Update CrealityPrint, and the Firmware (on the printer). Re-run the full calibration and belt tension check from the touchscreen menu. If it still fails, try slicing a basic model in OrcaSlicer using Creality Hi profile for comparison. Let us know what works or if the issue persists - happy to help troubleshoot further.

Creality Hi Combo Print Examples, Settings, Tips
Hi Charles, I haven’t personally tried it, but it should be possible by using adapters. For example, here’s an adapter for cardboard spools I found on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6888138 Here are the other examples: https://www.printables.com/model/472937-bambu-ams-spool-adapter-for-sunlu-195mm-spools This fix could also be helpful: https://www.printables.com/model/1103497-creality-k2-plus-cfs-fix-for-small-spools-retracti I recommend starting with the officially supported spool sizes for your first prints, just to get a good feel for how the system works. Also, I wouldn't start long projects until I am 100% sure the adapters work well.

Creality Hi Combo Print Examples, Settings, Tips
Hi. I received this printer yesterday and unfortunately only problems with it. At the start the self-test goes well, everything is green. Default projects uploaded by the manufacturer print correctly. However, all other projects cut in CrealityPrint 6.0 / 6.1 print incorrectly. The Y axis can suddenly move backwards or forwards and the nozzle works in the air, creating spaghetti and the print has to be thrown away. It even happened that the hotbed suddenly moved from its place, so much so that the belt jumped on the stepper motor gear and get axis y resistance error. I don't know how to solve this problem... Creality Community ForumError CM2789 helpI have Creality Hi, after starting it I started printing what was on the printer by default (waste container and speed test print) everything came out ok. Then from CrealityPrint6.1 I selected a te...
