The 3DMakerpro Turtle is available in two configurations. The Modules Only package includes the scanning module with power base, power adapter, USB cable, and a manual turntable. The Combo version adds a dedicated control pad, carrying case, and control pad cable, providing a more complete standalone scanning setup.
Technical Specifications
Rather than offering a single scanning configuration, the 3DMakerpro Turtle uses three interchangeable scanning modules designed for different object sizes and accuracy requirements. The Turtle Control Pad acts as the processing hub, featuring a 6.4-inch 2K AMOLED touchscreen, 16 GB of RAM, 256 GB of SSD storage, an eight-core 2 GHz processor, Wi-Fi 5 connectivity, USB Type-C, and a 10,000 mAh battery rated for around two hours of operation. Together, these specifications allow Turtle to perform standalone scanning without relying on a connected computer.
Main Features
The standout feature of the 3DMakerpro Turtle is its modular design. Rather than relying on a single fixed scanner, Turtle uses interchangeable S, M, and L scanning modules that can be swapped to suit different object sizes and accuracy requirements. Users can operate the scanner as a standalone device with the Control Pad, connect a module directly to a computer, or separate the two for more flexible scanning workflows.

Turtle combines Blue LED optical scanning with a 2.3 MP global shutter image sensor to capture detailed geometry and stable scan data. Depending on the selected module, scanning accuracy ranges from up to 0.01 mm for small, detailed objects to larger capture volumes for medium and large subjects.
The scanner also supports 24-bit color texture capture, scanning speeds of up to 30 FPS when connected to a PC, and optical image stabilization to improve handheld tracking. JMStudio Software
The 3DMakerpro Turtle works with JMStudio, the company’s free 3D scanning software developed for the entire 3DMakerpro scanner lineup, including Turtle, Toucan, Fox, Moose, Seal, Lynx, Mole, and Whale.
JMStudio supports scan acquisition, HD real-time preview, texture mapping, 3D model generation, and post-processing. Finished scans can be exported in OBJ, STL, PLY, ASC, and RSCAN formats, making it easy to integrate captured models into CAD, reverse engineering, visualization, and 3D printing workflows.
